Headed to the office this morning to find it deserted, guess bpi mai started a day early.
Took the opportunity to go to the Vietnamese embassy to get a visa instead. Due to the public holiday tomorrow I could only get an express visa for $10 more, but that was done in 15mins, nice to have it sorted.
Headed back to the office and did some work with the other volunteer, before going to lunch as a celebration of her last day. Had lunch at one of the boat restaurants, view is nicer when not during the night.
Headed back to the office via the bank, resulting in me dripping sweat, always thought it was just an expression. Worked the afternoon before heading to a guesthouse to book flights for Cambodia on the 8th. Unfortunately that will have to wait as Lao airlines website was down.
Headed to dinner with the other volunteer and her friend. Went for a walk to see the start of the bpi mai celebrations which involved blow up pools out the front of houses and people willing to throw water at you.
Eventually dropped the other volunteer her off at her sleeper bus (although apparently they double booked and she ended up sleeping in the under compartment).
Headed home and grabbed a roti with sweetened condensed milk although due to confusion, it was fried with an egg cracked into it. Not bad but very rich and hearty. A van drove past with people with water pistols who wanted to shoot water at me but ended up getting yelled at by the stall holders who did not want their food goods getting wet.

Headed home and stayed up late for no reason.

Traffic has gone up with the new bridge.
