Neither of my colleagues were at work today which made by facilitation work slightly more difficult. Instead I spent the morning finding a template for insect sample labels and testing if the printer's ink is ethanol proof. Found a great add-on for Word... why didn't I do this sooner? this will be so much quicker.

Got asked by the project head to find a new power board for the one in the lab that melted. Went to the local store only to find they were all closed for for tet/Chinese new year. We ended up traveling to the other side of the city to the hardware store to get one... and no, the didn't have two part epoxy resin.

After lunch I didn't do much as I had to head to language classes soon after I arrived as I had been looking for some containers at the market, which the shops used to sell but seem to have run out of.

Ended up having dinner at the other volunteers house as they joined me at classes and they were cooking anyway.

After getting back home I sat around for a bit before getting a knock at the door from the other volunteers from up north who are currently down for the next two weeks. Joined them for drinks and we ended up at a random family's porch (read main road), I sat politely as the others grew drunker. At one point the others found that the meat they were eating was dog, I didn't try any, not for any moral reason, just meat from a completely unregulated meat industry wasn't to my tase. After a while I took my leave to let the others get plastered and headed home.

I then ate much chocolate from the 116 piece box I got for christmas, I seem to have hardly made a dent.

So close...

Its so empty these days.
