Day 99
Friday 12th of February 2016
Started today by heading out to Champasak to collect the pan traps set yesterday, which was completed without incident.
After lunch I taught another English class, after which I headed to my own Lao classes, this is getting confusing. I was running late so I jumped a tuk-tuk and stated my price, this I found works better than asking. While at class I said someone was a television (tu la sap), I had meant to say businessman (nak tu la git).
For dinner I tried a japanese place I had forgotten about, got a bento box which was Melbourne quality. Restaurant was probably built for the japanese engineers working on the now completed bridge.
Headed home for a quiet evening while slowly becoming aware of the traffic becoming louder and louder. It was the 3rd fire truck that tipped me off and after heading for a walk through the abnormally busy streets. Turns out the local market was being gutted by fire. So I walked into the Pakse hotel (pretending to be a guest there) and rubber neck.
After the fire died down, and talking to someone I know, I headed home.
There goes my closest supermarket.
