Day 183
Friday 6th of May 2016
Got to work today to hand out small home goods I have left like a cut price Santa Claus. Once that was done I realised I left my laptop at home and made a return trip.
After working for a bit a few staff walked in with bottles of soft drink and some chips in what I assume was a going away party. I suspect that interest in attendance was not great due to a lack of beer, which I think was also on my behalf.
After the afternoon tea was over, it was time for lunch. Utlg messaged me saying she couldn't stand the heat and wanted to go somewhere cool (said the lao), so ended up having lunch at the Parisian Cafe and did some shopping whilst there.
Back at work I found that everyone was leaving for some sort of field trip or meeting, so my last hours at the office were quite quiet.
Headed home to drop off my stuff before heading to the daolin restaurant to await Sheridan, before remembering that she was coming at 6:30 not 5:30. Shouldn't have ordered the drink.
Sheridan arrived only 8 mins later than the eta, a good effort for a trip across 2 countries.
Headed back to my place for a quick shower before heading back out for a lift to the work dinner at the boat restaurant.
Dinner was 8 people (us included) which was a lot smaller than Adam and Sophia's basi, but the basi was during work hours, so I'm not surprised.
A large amount of food was brought out that we couldn't finish and gifts were exchanged. I received a formal Lao shirt.
Said goodbyes before heading home. Was invited out to a night club by utlg at 11pm but declined, big day packing tomorrow.
