A slow start today as we researched our next stop using hotel wifi. Afterwards we headed down to store our bags and mention about the issues from yesterday. To our surprise we managed to get a partial refund getting back down to the normal price.
Went for a walk to look at the historic University, flag tower, single pole pagoda and Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. Afterwards we went to the Ho Chi Minh museum partly for the air-conditioning. The museum had a surprisingly large amount of high brow artwork symbolism in place of information.
Headed back to the city centre for popeyes fast food (American Cajun chicken chain) then back to the hotel to wait for our train departure time.
Got a taxi to the station and had someone help me with my bag against my will, begrudgingly paid him a token amount.
Found the sleeper cabin clean and comfortable, sharing with a French and Irish-Australian backpackers.
Off to be rocked to sleep...
