Day 185
Sunday 8th of May 2016
Sunday 8th of May 2016
Up early to pack anything left (toothbrushes etc) before going down stairs to drop off my keys (one spare) and get a lift with the head of the department to breakfast.
We were taken to one of the classer places in town for breakfast, which doesn't really do breakfast, so we had meatballs with hot bread.
Time to head to the airport arrived, so we headed over and checked in.
We then spent the next 2-3 hours waiting for the flight due to a delay, a fitting end to my time in Pakse.
Eventually we left and I got to watch Pakse sink beneath the clouds.

Arrived in Siem Reap and passed through 3 desks, to find the hotel bus waiting for us with chilled water and refresher towel.
Once we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with fruit juice and chilled refresher towel, which we used out of politeness. After being ushered around and feeling out of place we rested in our room.

Headed out to the "old market" to browse some stalls and get orientated, but because frustrated at the requests to buy things are haggle, one of the nicer aspects of Pakse was it's absence.
It is amazing how organised and wealthy Cambodia feels.
Headed to dinner via tuk-tuk, to find the restaurant we had in mind was closed on Sundays, so went next door. Mains where about $7 which sounded ok but we walked on. Ended up in a hotel restaurant that had the same food for $2.
Headed back to the hotel for a swim. After which I had a shower. The shower had a novelty whereby it can produce both hot and cold water.
Farewell room.
Hello Cambodia.
