Wednesday 9th of December 2015
Sorted though insect sample collected from yesterday's field trip today (using my desk, as the quarantine bench is now a work space), before being called into a meeting with the plant pathologists to meet with another australian aid organisation. This was an interesting meeting solely for the fact that it was about soil pathogens and had nothing to do with insects, therefore I wasn't clear why I was there. Still everyone seemed nice and that's important.
We were then taken out to coffee, we offered to pay, but found out the department head had paid for us.
After lunch me and the translator went back the flyscreen people to have it installed (turns out they did turn up on Monday, while I was still at work) it fits perfectly with one extra hole in the frame where they miss measured.
After work decided to try out the Pho restaurant that came highly recommended. It wasn't where I thought it was and a 10min walk become 30. Was a nice night for a walk anyway, it's cooled off at the moment as this is currently the cool season.
The market near my house is still pumping with performances.
