Left home late today, got to cafe to find no staff, waited 5 mins before deciding to go someone else so I can get to work eventually.

During lunch I headed to the bank to withdraw rent money (rent is paid in full up front, up to a year). Total withdrawal 5,000,000 kip (I think it's only 4 million but didn't want to make the trip twice). The trip to the bank will be full of nostalgia for the pre-genY's; triplicate carbon paper, signing 3 forms (including one for the withdrawal fee), 15 min waits, dealing with people etc.

Restaurant didn't have hamburgers tonight, settled for pad thai, amazing how unadventurous your meals get when you are in the one place for long periods. Happy to get the usual. Did try the Tamarind juice though, tastes like a honey drink.
