Realised I have been carrying around 10 Australian coins in my wallet today, my wallet is now a lot lighter.
Since I didn't find an appropriate watermelon farm yesterday, I spent today Producing a social survey to understand what skills the staff need. Seemed better than charging wildly on.
For lunch I decided to grab a vietnamese noodle takeaway stall near me, but realised I didn't own a fork. So I went to the shops and picked up a fork and some paper towels (and 8L of water) and dropped then home. By this time the stall had sold out (or never opened) so I went and had a noodle soup instead.
After work, as there had been a nice cool change, I went for a walk to look for a kettle. Turns out they don't sell our type of kettles, their kettles are closer to hot water urns. I took the wrong street so I only found one seller (AUD $40, pass). After backtracking I found some market sellers, but was not in the mood to do the no-lao-barter-gesticulations required and walked on to a major (the only?) supermarket. I ended up buying an ice bucket instead. the electronic store next door was closed by this point.
On the way back home I stopped off at a new restaurant 'Burger Kong'. Turns out it is run by a Finnish ex-pat, food was pretty good but pricy for Lao. Still it's the only western style of burger, all the other have their strange lao qwerks (like cabbage leaf instead of lettuce). The owner had an infant who piddled in the middle of the floor and then later on the owner, I hurriedly try to alert him to this and ended up saying the child was leaking. Nappies aren't widely available here, but polished tiles are.
Seems I have new neighbours. So far no issues.

| Dog was back again today. I have called him Shady on account of his colour and that fact he is back, back again. (That joke may need to be explained to the post Gen-Y's) |

| My room now has a variety of adaptors and surge protectors. It looks like a christmas tree. |
