Day 68
Tuesday 12th of January 2016
Sheridan had a cooking course this morning So I went to work instead, albeit it later than usual to see Sheridan off (and sleep in).
After sorting insects for the morning, I headed out to lunch, as well as unsuccessfully looking for blu-tac. Happened to run into sheridan walking the other way towards the end of lunch, decided that I may as well finish the work day rather than join as there was only 2 hours left in it.
After work we had drinks on top of Le Panorama roof top restaurant while watching the sunset. We were going to eat there as well but since they were selling the same fare as the rest of the city, just at twice the price, we opted to eat elsewhere.
On the way to dinner we passed a tailor and stopped to see if they could fix the size of sheridan's sinhs. After making some minor modifications they then completely unhemmed it and restitched it from scratch, while sheridan wore a long loop of fabric instead. They quoted $1.50 but we tipped as we felt bad about how much work they put into it. They initially rejected the tip.
Headed to dinner and happened to sit next to the brother in law of another Australian volunteer we knew in Vientiane. Small world.

I am loving this blog Ian. I read it every day with my breakfast and I really look forward to it. Don't worry - I won't say anything nice to you for the rest of the year now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow up, I was very confused for a moment. PS: banana and mango shakes make for a filling breakfast.
