Took Sheridan for a farewell breakfast shake before heading to the office where we got a lift to the airport. In broken Lao/English I explained I would wait here until another staff member took a flight at 10 and head back then.

Much debacle at the airport as it turns out Lao airlines won't pay for international gates so that if you land in Vietnam you are expected to have a visa. After signing indemnity forms she was on her way (Sheridan had to pay $200 to walk to the other side of the terminal as it turns out).

Got a lift back home where I did not much until lunch.  Halfway walking to lunch I got a call asking if I wanted to have lunch at the place I was already walking to, handy. Had lunch with the regional director and project lead for lunch. After lunch discussed the way forward before heading home.

Took the new volunteer to see the golden buddha to fill in the afternoon before heading to dinner. I had tom yum.

On the way home I discovered an aggressive had declared the fount of my building his territory and chased me off. Had to walk around the block to let it cool off . Managed to sneak in but he still chased me in, at least he stopped halfway to the door. Might have to buy some food to bribe him.
